Airframe

The DHC-6 Twin Otter was developed by de Havilland Canada in 1965. The E-flite Twin Otter 1.4m is a scale replica that makes the perfect first twin-powered model for intermediate to experienced RC pilots. It's versatile, easy to fly, and is equipped with functional features including LED navigation and landing lights, and flaps. No glue or specials tools are required for final assembly so you can have the Twin Otter 1.4m ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! And although it's conveniently sized to fit fully assembled in almost any vehicle, you can remove the two-piece wing with hands-free connections for easier storage and transport.

Electronics

The factory-installed twin brushless power system features a 25-amp Spektrum Avian Dual Smart Lite ESC plus specially-tuned motors that deliver an abundance of thrust with a single 3S 2200–3200mAh LiPo battery. Or you can install a 4S battery for even more power and unlimited vertical capability without needing any modifications or upgrades!

Technologies

The Twin Otter 1.4m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Dual Smart Lite ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including the AR631+) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others).
